The Arthur Smith Tournament started in 1977 and encouraged all fishing enthusiasts to participate. Each participating boat team was allowed to compete in boats 16 feet or larger. All prizes were determined by the type of fish weighed-in at the end of each day.

Offshore Grand Prize -- the largest fish of the three eligible species in weight and length: 

  • King Mackerel (Scomberomorus cavalla)
  • Dolphin (Coryphaena hippurus)
  • Wahoo (Acanthocybium solandri)

The latest endeavor in 2012 was the Bohicket Marina Redfish Invitational.  We weighed-in many participants redfish on what could havebeen the tougest day to catch a redfish.

  • Red Drum (Sciaenops ocellatus)
Other prizes were given for other species such as trout and flounder.
